Sessions privacy presets for safer production rollout

Configure privacy before you scale capture. New presets bundle masking, sampling, metadata controls, and retention so you can start strict and relax only when needed.
Presets included
Strict: aggressive masking, limited metadata, shorter retention.
Balanced: recommended defaults for most support and product teams.
Debug: higher signal for troubleshooting while still respecting masking rules.
What a preset configures
Masking rules for sensitive UI fields and text regions.
Sampling rate to control capture volume.
Metadata allowlist to keep only fields you actually use.
Retention policy to define how long replay data stays accessible.
How to enable
Open Session Replay and go to Replay Settings.
Choose Privacy Controls, then select a preset.
Generate a few test sessions and validate masking before broad rollout.
Notes
Avoid storing secrets, payment data, or regulated identifiers in replay metadata or event payloads.
