Overview
OXVO does not store user passwords in plain text. Passwords are stored using a salted, one-way hashing mechanism designed to be computationally expensive to reverse. This reduces the impact of password disclosure in the event of a database compromise.
Controls & Practices
- Salted, one-way password hashing - Password policies can be strengthened with SSO/MFA - Recommended: enable MFA and use password managers - Use unique passwords for all accounts
